Noe Perez
Noe Perez is a contemporary artist living in Corpus Christi. Born in Falfurrias, Texas, Perez’s art education began in his teens, studying with local artists, and later attended workshops of the Plein-Air Painters of America. Perez focuses on the South Texas landscape, and his work is influenced by the San Antonio school of early Texas Impressionism, including Julian Onderdonk, Jose Arpa, Dawson Dawson-Watson and Porfirio Salinas. “Most of my work is done in the studio from photographs and plein air studies. I believe that plein air painting is an essential exercise for any landscape painter. I paint outdoors whenever I have the opportunity.”
